Hello All,
All the MBA institutes in india Teaching Management, But managing what and how???
This particular question, I have had it in my mind since my mba days,
Yes,
I have done my MBA--->> so called " Master of business Administration"
What i have managed? Cloth management,
People management, Industrial management, systems management, factory
management etc….??????
Nothing of that sort...
Here i am not gonna talk about IIM's and Xavier's or ISB's....

Nope, this article is not about them,
I am talking about this Middle and lower
level MBA teaching institutions(Most of the time, they get bribe to admit students in their college)
though the students has good percentage.
I had 72% marks in MAT exam.
I
have done my MBA in a middle or lower level MBA college(note it, its not a B-school), in bangalore. due to my interest in doing mba only in bangalore(which i regretted later)
What have I got? How I feel about my
degree? Am I happy? Did it teach me management lessons fully and correctly?
Bullshit
I have got nothing out of my MBA except 60%
marks (atleast that part I am happy, finally I got first class)
What else, To me ,my classes were dead
bore.
One single Mam, took 4 subjects in my 2nd
semester MBA.
I forgot her name, but she took continuously classes for 2 days, without a dot, due to lack of
teachers (or my institutions lack of interest to pay good money to teachers)
teachers (or my institutions lack of interest to pay good money to teachers)
In my final semester, There were no
teachers for finance subjects, I had to mug –up most
of the theory part, hence I will not fail
in the financial management.
Leave about all that, did I learn
management?
What did I learn to manage?
Did I start a company?
Did I became an extra ordinary leader…
Nothing…
I am working in BPO industry which pays me
well, or okay as per the Indian standards.
Am I doing the work I love? My work is a dead bore. Most of the time I don’t
understand what i am doing.
If I ask that, there will be no one to
answer my questions.
So at the age of 27 I finally realized I dont love my job. the only thing i love is writing.
I am a writer not a manager. I definitely
wont become one, screwing peoples life in the name of YEAR END
APPRAISAL.
Indian MBA institutions cheat people.
Their quality of education is something,
which we should question and demand more.
Yes, we Indians are taught to be silent and
listen to others.
But if we want some good quality, we
need to fight.
I wish parents and students think and use
their brain in future.
If we are going to spend, so much amount on our kids.
It should be worth it. The Quality should
be marvelous.
I wish whomever read this page, please be
different, don’t follow the footsteps of groups of goats,
Please please please follow your own dreams. Don’t do something because your parents force you or you will be
earning good.
earning good.
If you follow your dreams, Life will be
beautiful. Money will take care of itself, if you love your work

ReplyDeleteWell said Prathi,
ReplyDeleteI guess, pupil are equally to be blamed for this. They want to do MBA no matter what, because the industry gives different aura to MBA guys. Its all fake hype for MBA(not really management).
I hv seen most of my MBA frnds playing with xlsheet,Ppt or word.. is this what is called management, then I m better one :) without MBA degree :)
Hope to see the change in perspective of indians soon..
