Diamond necklace - My admiration

Its been long since I wrote a post, I thought when I write again I didn’t want it to be a movie review. But this movie had affected me so much that I had to write a post – Diamond Necklace.

I got this movie via a friend almost 2 months back, but was too lazy to watch it or the fact that it was not a tamil movie or a English movie made me hesitant, but somehow yesterday morning I forced myself to watch it.

Immediately I got hooked with the story and characterization of the hero. First I would like to sincerely appreciate the director for creating a hero character full of flaws till the end, in between I got doubt while watching, whether the hero was actually a hero or a villain.

But Malayalam cinema once again proved itself to be down to earth,simple & truthful to its own self.

The story starts with the hero Dr arun Freaking himself out in dubai with his friends, enjoying and spending money lavishly - a cool mallu dude, I was wholeheartedly disappointed with the start, what is this?!!!

Its not a typical hero introduction scene for a Malayalam movie, for tamil its okay, but not for Malayalam, but eventually the movie gripped me so much, I was desperate to finish it off before going to office.

The hero Dr Arun is having huge financial trouble due to his lavish lifestyle and uncontrollable expenses of a bachelor who lives alone in a different country.  In the mean time, he falls in love with a nurse Lakshmi in his work place, must talk about this girl, she has got beautiful eyes  and extra ordinarily believable acting skills, wish tamil cinema would use her for non- commercial roles.  

Typically the hero and heroin enjoy their newly found love, there is a song, end of it they will make love, oh god, here  I thought, okay, that’s pretty decent, he would marry the girl. 

That is where the director keeps a twisting point , where the hero was forced to go back to kerala due to his mother’s illness and gets married to one more girl with  money. And just calls the heroine (the first heroine) to say that he is sorry.Holy shit, i didn't like it! :)

2^nd heroine of this movie is the niece of Dr savithri called maya in this movie, very pretty girl who was given a very sad role, she had done a beautiful job of convincing us of her illness and practically throwing herself at a man of her liking,  feeling guilty when she had slept with the hero when she comes to know that he is married, but fights life and her disease like a demon. 

Beautifully crafted character and I liked the way they had made her character in the end, a girl who sheds all her guilty consciousness and focuses only on the present, neither the past nor the future, just the present. Very good.

3^rd heroine of this movie is the hero’s wife, they made her look like a money sucking bitch, but I wouldn’t agree with that, she was casual creature who just lives her life happily without any expectations or demands from anyone except her loved one’s. Her character is the best among the three, she impressed me a lot, because this girl is without any precautions or predictions, she lives her life just the way it is, happy when she is happy, sad when she is sad, neither conniving not judgmental. Loved her.

And here comes  a supporting character which played by actress rohini, such simple and elegant acting as Dr savithri, she is no less than her late husband Mr raguvaran, very impressed with her characterization and the elegance of which she had carried her character throughout the movie.

Finally the hero/ Villain/human/thief/confused youngster/womanizer etc….all in one box, pretty big job for fahad faizal huh!!! 

Man this guy can rule Malayalam cinema, he has got charm, he has got great smile, he has got pain in the eyes, he has got great acting skills, he has got beautiful nazriya, lucky her. Coming back to his nature in this movie, I was mesmerized; I have never seen such a hero character in my indian movie watching experience, ever! 

Totally he makes love to 3 women, he ditches 2, he cheats his wife, he is behind money, he flirts with the Bank manager lady and he is not even guilty, who would like such nature? 

 Must be honest here, I did. Preposterous isn’t it?

 He is human with mistakes and to the outside world he lives a perfect life, but inside he is one screwed up person with unbelievable flaws. 

Flaws can be made into positives and there is a possibility every situation can be corrected despite the worst time of the situation.

No human in this world is bad unless the situations arises -was an excellent message from this movie

Bottom line :- I loved Diamond necklace (Malayalam) and I highly recommend for everyone to watch it..its worth it. 

I must congratulate the director of this movie, he has done an extra ordinary job of making even a small character so real & convincing.  I had a great time watching it.

You don’t have to be a malayalee to watch it, download it with subtitles to enjoy the realm of Malayalam cinema.

Vijay - An enigma we choose to love & hate!

You all must have seen or heard his name recently in twitter # hash tags quiet often! Would say he has been trending for almost 15 days continuously for everything!

Including his wedding anniversary, his daughter's birthday, his recent movie release and his composure when he faced issues!

I would like to write a small flashback here....

I am a kinda person, who would love to watch movies, basically an english movie buff, nevertheless i love tamil movies a lot,its my mother tongue & i personally feel, we make movies as good as B' wood! I was in bangalore during this online revolution had started, ORkut, FB and twitter! Happy to tell you all, i successfully had an account in orkut, having in FB and twitter!

Was not an active participant in twitter at that time, but very active in FB, during one leisurely day i saw one of my friend in FB(with whom i had a very good relationship) posted a photo morphing vijay in a very very ugly way! I wasn't happy seeing it, though i wouldn't call myself an addicted fan, but if i like someone in tamil cinema a lot, it would be vijay and no one else, so naturally i got offended and started questioning him about the morphed pic! He was giving me n...number of reasons, telling, vijay is made for fun, people get exhilarated seeing his pics morphed in an ugly way!

I tried to reason with him all i could, one of my friend, who is a hindi speaking guy, saw the same morphed pic, Posted in his TL and shared the same, i asked him too, "So far i know,you dont watch tamil movies or you know anything about tamil people, then why the hell, you RT such non sense"

He replied me aramse, saying, " Come on prathipa, the Pic was shared by one tamil guy itself, it looked funny so i shared it" I was literally ashamed that minute!

I felt, a tamil shamed one more tamil infront of every body and we are enjoying it throughly without any reason, except the fact that we are cruel people

Okay, coming back to Vijay, i seriously analyzed, is there any true reason behind all this hatred!
Any fact that made the entire crowd hate him,

1. The haters say," He gives continous flop movies, all bullshits, telugu copy paste,etc etc
2. They say he is too ugly ( I seriously get heart attack when i hear his) 
3. They say he is repetitive
4. They say after gilli, none of his movies are worth watching
5. They say he had an affair with one of  the famous actress (as if they are all sri ramachandra moorthies)
6. They say we hate him no matter what, he is hateful
7. They say whenever i look at him i feel hate
8. They say i just hate him
9. They say - Vijay - means hate hate hate! 

Now, i m exhausted,  Would you hate someone so badly for those reasons i had numbered? Any actor in any film industry is bound to give success and flop movies, Depends on his ability to choose a good script or his lucky time! And ups and downs are so common for all of us humans, isn't it?

Who are we to judge someone by their success or hate except that you are an unkind person, who likes when others suffer! Honestly, i could find no reason!

I m not blindly supporting vijay or any other actor here, i just don't understand why he must be so prone to teasing, when all he did was acting in flop movies!

Tell me one actor in this industry or any movie industry survived without giving flop movies, my quesiton is if you don't like him, don't watch his movies, or if you feel your money is getting wasted or your precious time is wasted, wait for reviews, i m sure there are 1000 reviewers in and out of online, you can definitely take one of your favorite person's view on that movie.

If vijay is giving worse movie, please make it a flop, no partiality nothing, He must know that his movie is a flop!  But insulting a person for his mannerisms or his acting skill is just your nature and personal crime record not his!

And there are people who blame vijay fan's for their action! You quality shows when you projecting a nature even in the worse circumstances, when you are insulting a person for no reason, make sure your heart listens to you, that you are indeed a bad person with a vulgar nature! Period!

And they talk about his affair with an actress, that particular actress, in my view is currently with one more boy friend and had moved on, when she herself has not made an issue out of it, why would you? you stupid kalaachaara protectors? I don't  think so...

Tamils, we must accept this fact, we are dark and we hate it, we hate it to the core, so when someone is as dark as you and he has success,we'll not like that person! We have ordinary looking hero's, but those ordinary looking hero's only pour out their heart felt love!!?? only to fair looking northie girls? isn't it?


There is no successful tamil actresses in tamil  except very few......

The above tweet was comparing Gay'ism and vijay fan's , height of ignorance and blind focus on popularity! Okay, we fans are gays or lesbians, I tried to find some other good meaning in this tweet, but found none! Whatever, your own brain, your own quality! No comments!

This is one tweet, which was tweeted purely on the basis of hate and nothing else, this person is my friend, but i forgave for tweeting such non sense!  Holy me!

This was tweeted after an american girl, tweeted in a tag, calling vijay anna as vagina, as if people are born from brains instead of vagina!

I take it this way, just by seeing vijay, all that girl could think of is her vagina ( i m sorry for being ugly, but i couldn't help it) Anyways, i don't find anything wrong in her attitude, it is our guys who are cheap and they love being cheap! 

The second most shocking fact to anti- vijay people is most of his(vijay's fan) r girls! When they love someone who is fair and good looking, when they think, that is what girls would love and like, how could people like, vijay kinda face? ridiculous isn't it!
Though the fact was hard to accept, it is true, many girls(tamil girls) are truly addicted to his smile and looks! Of course me as well! :)

How to jog?

Exercises are helpful, but it takes a long time for us to shed our weight!  Most of us will not have the patience to do the exercises every day!

And in the fast pace world we shan't completely blame the fasto's! Time management is a very tough job, getting time to yourself is another big tough job!

But if you would like to lose weight considerably and also considering your  health * benefits, jogging is just an excellent solution.

Few important factors you must consider or firmly think before you start up jogging/Running!

1. Consult a doctor, a physio therapist - to check your stamina to run/jog, just to check your blood pressure (because report says, it is a must to check your physical ability before you run)
2. Buy a best pair of shoes, try it on when you buy it, the comfort level you maintain with your shoes will make you feel less of your leg pain.
3. Do not run, jog- I have seen the starters getting over excited about doing a physical activity, they just run as if they are gonna run the country.
4. Take things easily, especially in the initial stage, just start with 200 meters at the most, for at least 3 days, before increasing  your pace to 250
5. Slow and steady wins the process, it applies to jog as well, just raise your foot little high,just  jog/walk like goose ducks.
6. Do not get over exited, if possible get an expert's advice on jogging, before you start up
7. Determination is very important- After 2 days of running, do not give yourself an off, make sure to continue the activity
8. Following a routine is must when you do any kind of physical activity, so please do your actions on a particular time.
9. Little bit of food maintenance helps a lot, depends on the country you live in, eat healthy food.
10. Junk food must be deleted from your agenda
11. Try to do an exhale/inhale process while you run, it helps you to focus, concentrate.
12. Please hydrate your body, drink water if you are thirsty while running! 
13. Have patience - though jogging is a fast process compare to exercises , still over doing it can cause serious troubles, hence have patience with yourself and the process.

Princess Diana! An eternal angel!

There have been few woman i would like to write endlessly about, obviously anyone would want to write about their mother first! I am in that category too, if i ever want to write about depth and profound-heart core feelings i would take my mother's  name!

But this post is about the most impressive, most intriguing, most mysterious Princess diana!

Its about my feelings, love and perception - after her death! Like everyone, during my school days, i  know there is a princess called diana and she is from London! And she visits all the country all the time! :-)

Had been very young at that time of her death, during 1997 one fine day, i shouldn't be calling it one fine day, one not a very fine day, our school kids had been standing in front of a bridge to welcome our that time Chief minister MR Karunanidhi!A fucntion at madurai so the school forced the kids to stand human chain in the bridge!  As usual madurai was very hot , i haven't eaten any breakfast, hence dad came along and gave me a big fat creamy bun to eat and he got something to eat for my friends too....

After 3 hours of painful standing to welcome the  CM i haven't got the chance to look at his face, because, his car passed too soon, i was frustrated, because the one celebrity came to madurai i could not see him! That was irritating! Anyways, after fun filled talking with my girls and pals i came to home totally tired!

My mum had come out with teary eyes and had said, "you know ammu, princess diana, she died", i was totally dumbstruck to reply anything, because till then it was a name from the distance, a person we know yet we dont know, but after her death, she had become a part of me!

In the french movie,"Amelie" it was released during the death of Lady Di, the actress of the movie gets totally shocked to see the princess's death in the television, to be honest, i was more ambushed than the lead actress! I ran and switched on the TV & saw the ,that time, small tv world in india showing the accident prone/happened area in Paris! The very dark place which had taken my dream princess away!

I started crying verybadly, i wasn't aware what came into me, the sadness was in me there for more than 6 months, till this day i say this sentence very often, " for lady di's death, i cried more than her ex husband"- i still believe it is the truth! As the worldly prince -not very charming ,married his ugliest girl friend creature, that could ever exist on earth! So it is the truth!

Then i started learning about princess diana! What  made her so attractive to me was inspite of all her positivity, she lacked confidence to kick the asshole husband and take her own decisions! but we cannot blame her so much, because it is the so called royal family! Princess diana was not a perfect woman, but then, i hate perfect woman, because there is no such thing called perfect in this entire world!

Seeing your prince charming sleeping with someone else in the same palace/in the next room of yours, who wouldn't want to take revenge, i know i would! 

I have read all her interviews, well, mostly that is/was all available in the net, at that time, books etc, nowhere we could blame this beautiful goddess, actually all she needed was little bit of caring that her princess'dom promised her! Along with a cheating freak as a husband, a confused mid twenties woman will take hasty decisions, as she had!

I know for sure, woman who cheats need not to be bad, woman who cheats with a  good husband is bad!

Being in india, the so called behind the scenes country, how many we are seeing, people having affair, but for the sake of society living together with the same man and sacrificing for the kids etc... i find though she was born in the sophisticated united kingdom, she was forced to adapt an indian virgin woman style, which is actually very hard even for indian virgin woman!

So she had started seeking love elsewhere, what a pity, again she got only cheaters as her courting buddies! Which is bad, by this time, she had become the  most photographed, the most beautiful, the most sensational, the most lonely, the most cutest, the most sacrificing personality alive!

Everyone was craving for her attention, everyone wanted to be princess diana inspite of the trauma's she had to go through! She was the darling of the media!

The ugly prince not charming was jealous again & had gone to his ugliest girl friend! Divorce happened!  I am normally a person, will never call any one ugly, i m very particular about it, but for miss camilla parker, i m making it as an exception, because she is still in front of my eyes an ugly wicked witch who destroyed my dream princess's life and love!

No one could ever blame my beautiful princess for being a bad mother! She was a damned good mother to her kids, the lovely pics, the smiley face when she was with her kids, speaks volumes and that doesn't look fake!

Faking 24/7 is an art and i m sure diana was not well versed in it! Finally my pretty princess had found someone she could love, cherish and enjoy and was making a firm decision! I pretty much think, it was on the very firm decision day, she was chased, targeted, forced & killed! I cannot and would not ever accept her death as anything other than murder! It was a murder!

But everyone moved on, including me, But the one princess i know & the one princess i will always love is no more! She is an eternity! She projects love! Despite media calling her a fake, she has not stopped volunteering herself for social cause, which was daring and great!She need not do that, yet she did!

An escapism,when something is not going the way you wanted, you will indulge in things, that will make your heart happy or at least distracted, i m sure that is what she did! Poor girl!

At the tender age of 36, her life ended, but in this world, if there is a princess who is eternal and beautiful, it will always be Princess diana!

Rage of Angels- The Sidney sheldon's best

Generally, girls love sidney sheldons' novels, there are so many reasons, why he was a big success, but in my point of view he had become everyones favorite only because he always makes a character so real, humane and with a tinge of indecency and an untouchable world, which we would love to explore or too scared to even think about it.

You can empathize the hero's and heroines perspective, his stories are never one sided! He always argues for both the parties vigorously. And i m not a very addicted sidney sheldon reader, i have i remember have read around 7 of his novels.

Other side of midnight, other side of me, if tomorrow comes, blood line, rage of angels, tell me your dreams and one more i forgot the name. Everybody exaggerated  other side of mid night, but truly speaking i could never connect with the story of revenge, its way too confusing and irritating for me, although it was a new concept, new way of thinking about woman's revenge attitude.

The second novel i have read of sidney is rage of angels, i immedietly felt connected to it, due to one reason, it started with my birthday the first scene, September 4 new york :-)) its a court room scene,. I think its human  nature, when you see you birthday on a book or in a register you will just feel happy about it, for no reason, the same way , rage of angels stayed with me,.in my heart

And the title kind of intrigued me too, because angels are supposed to be soft, sweet, cool, smiley, intelligent, with feathers, and with a magical stick which contains star in it and she will grant all the wishes that you wish for...

But here was the first time i have read about an angel in rage, do angels do have rage? it was the question popped into my head... then i started reading the novel, i lost myself, my entire self

The story was magical, the future american president, the top italian gangster fall in love with the same woman but in a very different situation!  There are 3 characters in the novel, jennifer parker, micheal morretti and adam warner.

Adam warner is technically the hero with a coward shade, i however didn't like him much, sidney had emphasized the quality of adam's nature, but to me he looked completely so out of proportion, just a guts lacking, but materially successful man!

Here comes our hero Mr Moretti, the good looker, the handsome, the awesome yet the villain! You couldn't dislike him even if you tried hard, he is the gangster, yet compare to adam he loves the heroine so deeply and profoundly, which is shocking because, he happens to just believe woman is for sex and for nothing.

But he also needs a woman with brilliance , talent, sophistication, looks, yet innocence and bold, all these characteristics were our heroine Miss parkers phenomenon .

As far as my observation is concerned, she was a honest, gullible woman who wasn't taught to or aware how to deal with the real life dragons, she gets into the situations without thinking much about the outcome or just think about it, but cannot come out it, kinda scenes just reminds you  how help less a human could be when a heartbreaking situation arises.

The part which affected me mostly was the death of jennnifer parkers son joshua parker, how precious the little baby is to her, and how she loved adam warner so much ,because of her love she decided not to abort her baby.

Finally the death of joshua destroys our strong minded innocent heroine. She will have no one to turn to, she will have no support, she will have no relation, she just have herself. The most painful part of the story is joshua's death. I agree, i cried a lot and a lot and a lot for the kid's demise.

Then the climax scene and the most romantic words sidney written, after micheal shoots jennifer, he thinks to himself, which is more painful her death or his death. My god, your heart just weeps for the villain.

But the woman again emerges strongly, she is an attorney and she will remain one.........

The rage which she has never dies, but she is an angel- the protector and the character will always live in my heart....... I could connect with the character, because she is not always a perfect woman, she has flaws, she had done mistakes, she was the most brilliant attorney, she had goal, she had purpose and she had love......she loves to give love.

And she survived.... The rage of an angel... jennifer parker

Change is super good with a measure of uncertainty

Since last july i have been lazy, freaked out.  I really enjoyed this leisure period because i solely aware this kinda time will never come back to me again.

Like the freedom to be myself at home, waking at 10 am everyday and staring at twitter without even blinking my eyelids.

Life is cool, but somehow, there was/is a big hole at heart, because no complications. Life is so smooth.. I have been yearning and longing for a time like this during my corporate life. I had always wished to have more time for my reading, writing, exercises, jogging, chating with friends, outing , even to talk to my parents.

Now i have all the time in the world, the 24 hours totally dedicated to me by mother nature, but what have i done? nothing in the last six- eights except staring at my computer screen and making friends.

Making friends had been a good part, have got few nice hearted, talented people as my friends now... No regrets there.... But truly this is not what i have longed for....I must do more! Work harder! I m made for hard work, not to be an ordinary human!

If doing nothing can curb my creativity, then i want work, i want more work, i wanna die from work! This is not suiting my nature, to sit simply, making friends, cracking jokes. For heaven's sake, anyone could do that.... But who is stopping me from achieving my dreams, have i been held by group of terrorists for a ransome.No.

Nothing of that sort, it is just me, the enemy inside, the dangerous, lazy, procrastinating damned enemy ! What should i do now? how should i gear up?

Well, just by stopping myself sitting in front of twitter all day and do something... speaking and writing is different, action speaks a lot - if i m gonna remain this way, i ll be ashes in few decades not have achieved anything i wanted too,

Right now i m  in the position to comprehend my actions, its good, because i realize what i must do! Boredom doesn't fit me and i dont fit boredom! We are exact opposites deserve to live poles apart. Good i came back to my own self!

How to overcome procrastination is a wonderful subject, the 101's in the internet truly doesn't help one! Truly.

Procrastination - we must overcome the deadly disease just by taking an action. Any action for that matter, sitting simply, watching tv, surfing on the net- just immobilize us!Stop us from doing something worthy in our life.

 Life- we never must allow it to be mundane, it will eat us easily, actually its just waiting for a chance to bang on us!

We have to protect ourselves by keeping ourselves positive and thoroughly optimistic. It is ,sure not possible at every situation and it requires greater practice at that. But not something uncommonly difficult!

Action is the only way to overcome all kind of difficulty! Its feel good to jot down my thoughts as if i m writing in my diary, but then, it is my diary- online diary- the one i dont start with prathi writes....

Over reacting people, just shut up! Sri lankan genocide- part 1

Last two days had been hearing about humanity loss in our country due to the fact

Tamil nadu chief minister J Jayalalitha had stopped/ literally wrote a letter to prime minister to stop srilankan players to participate in Chennai super kings team.

Especially from the north indian media...

My first question to them is -- Why the fuck you ask so many questions now, when just last week there was a hunger strike across tamil nadu, so many students with the super summer heat in tamil nadu came to street and was protesting for Eelam tamils. No one...

No one raised their voice?. where have u been people, u diplomats??

No fucking media, no humanity, no nothing. So when cricket, a ban, so many people who are not even aware what is going on coming and venturing comments in a common forum!

Ridiculous! First of all, i would like to say people who are from the non tamil back round, please don't be like subramaniya swamy! he is a well educated tamil speaking brahmin, who knows nothing about tamils or our culture,his level of understanding and empathy is less than a 6 months old kid!

When you are venturing a comment in a public forum, please do make sure, regarding what issue you guys speak, what is the purpose of commenting, for what reason it had happened, why we should speak on that issue, have we ever done anything on that issue?

Above questions we must ask to ourselves before commenting so rudely on everything, People, my answer to you is

So if u want diplomacy, i must assure you, tamils are not the right people for diplomatic thinking, please consider us insane, its okay, tamils are living as orphans in india except when its comes to A R rahman, we must support our remaining alive sisters and brothers in sri lanka,

If you cannot support us its okay, but please keep out of it! Do not make so called intelligent comments in the name of showing your brilliancy, this includes cricket expert like harsha bhogle

And today i heard mutthaih muralitharan spoke on behalf of rajapakshey and sri lankan government, how nice! he said tamil nadu do not want me,  FYI brother murali, we do not want u, u r from sri lanka!

You are a  fame, rich living tamil, we are not talking about rich living tamils in Sri lanka,we are talking about the poor souls, who is suffering for their basic medical aid!

And who cares the shit about IPL, money sucking game, will it show your patriotism brothers, CSK or any team for that matter, its money
