My twitter MANIA

Last few weeks i have not been myself.

I consider myself, smitten and completely overtaken by this wonderful networking site  called

"twitter"

It occupied my mind, soul and body- sounds terrifying isn't it?

Its true, half the time , in my hometown, we are living without power and when there is power, i m in twitter, even now, my twitter page is open, while i m writing this blog.

Its really ironic, i m in twitter for the past 3 years, only following 15 people at the most and never  following tamil tweeters, though i m a tamilian.

I am a strict officer with strict rules,

  1. No celebrities, ofcourse, ricky martin is my love, not a celebrity ;)
  2. No non sense tweeters- only quality
  3. i followed these people following people- sachin, chinmayi, robin sharma, a r rahman, jim woods, jeff goins etc. only bloggers(english ) and writers
  4. Writers strictly allowed :)
Hence, due to this wonderful rules, hardly followed any and more over, i was very busy in FB, didnt really know, much about twitter.

Just a month back, came to know about few, tamil bloggers in twitter, a friend called ear-wormed helped me knowing these brilliant tamils guys who happens to tweet and write only in tamil

Needless to say, i was excited, wow, writers in tamil, the mother tongue connection is really wonderful, i swear, you feel a jerk inside your heart seeing those blogs and intelligence.

I started tweeting in tamil myself, wait here...

I came to know, how much an ignorant i was and arrogant thinking i know everything about- tamil - first of all, my language tamil  is mesmerizing as usual and i know very few stuff about it. Its an ocean

so, i kept tweeting in tamil, got some nice following from nice people around.

Forgot everything, power comes, run prathi run, open twitter, tweet, tweet, tweet.

Now - finally- after a month- yes i m a twitter addict. i am not ashamed of saying this...

Cos, it regenerates my creativity in a wider level, it makes me wanting to write more and more in my mother tongue, it gives me confidence , seeing all those wonderful people and talent, makes you think, what am i doing?  i must be more talented and confident to beat the tamil bloggers.

I am using this addiction of mine in a positive way , reading a lot, widening my knowledge.

Wasting my time is strictly against my agenda, yeah i m wasting time. but i ll come out it.

Its a splendid way of connecting yourself to the world & with the people of your kind.

Nothing wrong in it, i believe.

A new twitter maniac

  2. First of all, Prathipa must be blank lying if she is saying that she has been smitten by Mr. Twitter only for last few weeks. For I been following @prathiiiii/@talkativewriter for quite some time and its more than few weeks.

But I would anyday say that Prathipa has choosen the right one to be smitten by - i.e. Mr Twitter and not that certain Mr FB. Thank God, its not the other way around.

Prathipa is one who has got over more than 6000 tweets and that too only on those issues that she feels strongly about, so it is easy to guage her commitment towards twitter.

And that is quite a remarkable thing, especially her sincere, non-evasive and frank opinions and views that one gets to feel in her tweets even if one not agree with it. Myself who been on twitter for some months and have tweeted some few hundred tweets have already started feeling bored. So I can very much understand how completely taken over she is with Twitter.

I got only some few suggests for her in this regard. One is that while being in love with this virtual world of Twitter, don't forget the real world. Other is that while socialising on twitter, do try to network with all your prominent twitter friends and acquiantances in real too. Especially in current volatile situation where even one tweet or fb post can land you in a prison cell. This will be of great help to be in touch with your twitter friends in any such circumstances of emergency. So do try to attend such tweeters meets on regional and national level for in any case the twitter handle @talkativewriter have become a prominent one in twitter world.

  3. As far as your introduction to tweeting in Tamil, it is always better if one can express himself in his own Mother language and given how rich Tamil is, it will only take you to more higher level of intellect. The only issue is that for people like me who cann't follow the Tamil script, it will be puzzling to understand what conservation or debate is going on.

By the way, the changes you have brought to your blog's look have made it more cool and pleasing to eyes.

So...Prathipa carry on with your tweeting and blogging :) And never again say kolayaliye nambiyalum malayaliye nambaathee ;)) #tamilproverbsinenglish which got us connect the first time.

  4. @kevin fernades, kevin after speaking to u, i sincerely regretted uttering those horrible words,u have been a great friend, welwisher and a kind diplomatic teacher at times, i have sincere and deep profound respect and regards for u, and never ever underestimate or insult malayalees for any reason, its a promise.. and ur suggestions are well taken inside my head, and FYI i m not prominent in twitter, here in tamil too, despite havign few unfollowers everyday, i voice my opinion in the same way and spirit i do as before :)
So prathiiiii hasnot changed, only her name talkative writer has been changed.
thanks, changes are made to please the readers...so its good :)

  8. You really make it seem really easy with your presentation however I to find this topic to be actually one thing that I think I
might by no means understand. It seems too complicated and very extensive for me.
I am having a look forward for your subsequent post, I
will attempt to get the dangle of it!
