The north-south division do exists in an unbeleivable way.Those who work in corporate life like me definately would have gone through discriminating attitude of north indians towards southies....
Sometimes we feel, they come to south india to settle and they dominate us and insults our culture..
I dont know how many of you would have gone through that..i have definately gone through the racist comments because i m dark and i m a tamilian/telugait
May be i m the only girl in india who is happy about my dark complexion never felt the need to become fair or absolutely stunning beauty.
But as soon as i have entered into bangalore, people who is with sarcasm in their blood will cross your path.
This questions would have attacked you from a northie...if u r a southie..
1) God y cant u guys speak national language?
My answer... We love the nation and we love national language.
But its our goverment which didnt forcefully add hindi into our educational system and learning a language totally alien is not easy for all of us.why cant you people who live in south india learn tamil or telugu or malayalam or kannada? regional languages have more history for sure...2000 years old tamil and kannada.
2) Y u guys have mother tongue influence..
My answer... i do have mt influence.Because tamil is my mother tougue. English is an official language which i choose to speak only when there is need....simple..
And i dont want to screw my normal english in american english by adding style to it..and destroying english.Spaniards speak english with their accent of spanish. Trust me it sounds so beautifull...
3)Y south indians wear bright color dresses?
I have seen many north not wearing at all..Atleast its best to cover urself with something right...so we are wearing bright colors.
$) Y Tamilians are dark?
God only can answer this question...How would we know.
My Answer..Thinking someone ugly or beautiful by their complexion is too narrow minded i feel..If north indians are narrow minded..god only can save them.
5) Y people wear so much gold in south?!
My answer.. Thats the best investment so far in the world.
Anytime it will help you cash it. And the value is increasing day by day..Y not..
So my dear indians.... Yes we southies especially tamilians have so much adamance about our language..
It just means we are proud of our language and its heritage.
But we never say dont speak hindi..hindi is a bad language..etc..
I love national language.. I love hindi...
But u guys expects us to learn hindi in just 2 months just so you will comfortable speaking to everybody
Sorry we arent ready for that..
Give us time and space.
And try to respect any language for that matter.
It doesnt mean if you know hindi...hindi is national language ..so its great..
Any language in this world has got so much potential and so many interesting historical proofs..
I have so many hindi speaking friends who are really good and respecting the culture here.
This article is not to insult anyone or any group.
Its just my emotions over discriminating people who spoils the relationship inside the country. Try to understand us you will find gold inside people not outside.
Respect the country doesnt always mean saying yes to whatever gandhi said.
He is a good man, but he made a mistake by telling hindi is a easy language to learn just because he knows it.
I find it too difficult, yet i m managing to speak little...
